Program recruits Israeli girls for cyber warfare

Tali Ben Aroya knows what it’s like to feel intimidated.

As the founder of an Israeli social network startup, she recalls more than once being the only female in a room full of male business executives.

“I remember myself asking where all the other women were,” she said. “I realized then that if I wanted to change things, it’s not enough to be an entrepreneur. I also have to help cultivate other women to be entrepreneurs.”

Jamie Dimon says cyber warfare is the biggest risk to the financial system

Banks may be in sound condition post-Lehman Brothers, but the financial system could crack again if hit with a devastating cyber attack, J.P. Morgan Chief Executive Jamie Dimon warned on Thursday.

"I think the biggest vulnerability is cyber, just for about everybody" he told CNBC's Indian affiliate CNBC TV-18 on Thursday. "I think we have to focus on it, the United States government has to focus on it."

Lithuanian media sign pact with govt to counter hackers

Lithuania's major online media outlets on Tuesday signed an agreement to work with the defence ministry as they try to fend off a growing barrage of cyber attacks, largely blamed on Russia.

Fears are increasing over possible meddling in elections next year in the Baltic EU and NATO state, where hackers have planted fake news stories on media organisations' websites, or crashed them altogether.

Warning that cyberattacks can sow "great chaos in society and in the state", Defence Minister Raimundas Karoblis said Tuesday that the state felt compelled to cooperate with the media to combat the attacks.
